Lake Chapala Baptist
Jesus stood before Pilate, bruised and beaten, yet unwavering in truth. Though He had the power to stop His suffering, He submitted to the Father’s will, fulfilling prophecy as the suffering servant. His wounds brought healing, and His obedience in suffering became the model for all believers. Hebrews 5:8 tells us that though He was the Son, He learned obedience through suffering, showing that trials refine and prepare us for God’s purpose. Paul affirms that present sufferings pale in comparison to future glory, while 2 Corinthians 12:9-10 reminds us that God’s strength is made perfect in weakness. His Word promises restoration, strength, and establishment after trials. Jesus endured suffering with truth and purpose, and in Him, we find the strength to persevere, knowing that glory and restoration await. Even in suffering, grace sustains us.

Common Ground Fellowship
“Do Be Do Be Do…,” from Philippians 4:1-9.
Ahh, The famous “To do” list— that mighty tool to let you know and prioritize your tasks for the day. How many of us have lived by those lists for so much of our lives. Thankfully, though, the “To Do” list is not who we are. It may show us our priorities but it doesn’t reveal who we are, because being is different than doing…
Scripture calls us to be certain things. It also calls us to do certain things.
And the truth is, none of us can “do” Christianity, for when we try to do Christianity in our own power we get human sized results. For instance, none of us can “do” joy, especially in dark times or times of trial, but we can be joyful. We can be Christians.
Join us this Sunday at 11 a.m. As we explore the juxtaposition and interaction of the concepts of doing and being. Stay afterwards for coffee, cookies, and fellowship, as we enjoy the love and grace of God together. We meet next to the Latitude Margaritaville office in west Ajijic. All are welcome.

Eckankar
Everything revolves around love. It always does. No matter how much we rush about in this world and how harried, ambitious, or sorrowful we become, the world stays together for some reason. The reason is God’s love. It makes the whole work, even though sometimes it looks like nothing is working at all.
The two supreme laws are: God is love, and Soul exists because God loves it.
But how do you make this work out in everyday life? Whenever you’re in doubt about any action, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it Kind? You can also ask, What would love do?
Meet with other like-minded Souls for open non-denominational spiritual discussions Tuesdays, 2 to 3:15 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society.

Abundant Life Church
We are what we think. This may sound over-simplified but the truth is that our thoughts limit or propel us. Eventually we are all products of what we choose to think about. This is why education is a key element in childhood development. To expand the mind of a child is to expand their possibilities for the future. The same is true in our relationship with God. Come this Sunday, April 6, to be challenged to think the right thoughts about God, yourself and others. You will be amazed at how your future can be changed.
Abundant Life is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. Weekly Sunday worship services in English start at 10:30 a.m. and Bible studies on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. The English services schedule is at abuntandtlifechapala.com. Carretera 140, San Antonio Tlayacapan, a block from SuperLake.
Heritage Baptist Church
The writer of Hebrews exhorts us not to go back to Mount Sinai, the mountain where Moses met God and the Almighty displayed His awesome power and majesty.
True believers are already residents of heavenly Zion, city of the living God. We sit, in spirit, with Jesus, surrounded by countless angels in perpetual celebration of God’s glory. Your name, beloved, is already registered in the Lamb’s Book of Life. You are already a member of the heavenly Church, you are, in fact, enrolled in heaven. No one gets into the Lamb’s Book of Life through the Law, only through the grace of God.
We grow close to God through our mediator, Jesus Christ, in the joy of Zion and in the grace of the new covenant. Christ brought us from Sinai to Zion via the mount of Calvary. The Law is the foundation upon which we stand, but we look heavenward to our Lord, and amazing grace leads us on.
