Lakeside Presbyterian
Sunday, January 18, Pastor Carolyn Hansen will give the sermon, “Why and How Do We Pray Together?”
Christians take prayer seriously—or at least we say we do. Pastors would never step up to preach week after week without preparation, yet in many churches, prayer is treated very differently. We often assume that sincerity alone is enough, confusing spontaneity with spiritual depth. This Sunday, as part of our worship series, Pastor Carolyn will explore why prayer belongs at the heart of corporate worship and how the Bible teaches us to pray together well. Drawing from Nehemiah 9, we’ll see how thoughtful, Scripture-shaped prayer forms us, unites us, and deepens our worship of God. Join us as we rediscover prayer that is intentional, biblical, and shared.
English language service is at 10 a.m. at Constitución 26, in Ajijic, 2nd floor. Enter through the back garage area and walk upstairs. For those with limited mobility, there’s also a small elevator at the front. Join us for coffee and refreshments after the service.

Lake Chapala Baptist
Faith is not something we manufacture; it is a gift, breathed into us by God. It is the assurance of what we hope for, the quiet certainty of what we cannot see. Faith does not bargain for outcomes—sometimes it leads us straight into the fire. Yet when the flames rise, we are not alone. God does not always promise rescue, but He reveals His presence in the burning. What was meant to consume becomes holy ground, and we emerge untouched, not even carrying the scent of smoke (Daniel 3).

Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Unitarian Universalism is a spiritually alive and justice-centered religion. Unitarian Universalists search for truth along many paths. Rather than basing our religion on specific beliefs, we gather around common moral values that include the inherent worth and dignity of every person. We believe that the things we share are much more significant than our differences.
We are a theologically diverse religious community with membership open to all who are in accordance with our principles, mission and vision. We welcome people of all sexual orientations, and we unconditionally welcome any and all of you to our community of mutual caring and serious intent to grow as spiritual and moral beings.

Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel
Sunday, January 18, Dr. Ted Rogers continues taking us through the book of Hebrews with his sermon: “What’s in a Name.” Melchizedek was both High Priest and King of Salem, later to become the city of Jerusalem, yet his titles were not achieved by genealogy but rather by character. Come learn how Jesus Christ is our ultimate High Priest and King according the order of Melchizedek.
Common Ground Fellowship at Little Chapel is a bilingual, dynamic, friendly, and all-inclusive place to worship our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We believe that the church exists primarily for the benefit of those outside it as we seek to make the love of Christ known to others by serving our community in word and actions. Our worship service begins at 11 a.m. and includes children’s church. Hymn singing is at 9 a.m. and a time of Acts: Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, and Supplication at 10 a.m. We also offer a Wednesday Bible Study beginning at 5 p.m.
Donations of food and clothing for our numerous missions along the shores of Lake Chapala are always gladly accepted via our big purple box in front of the Chapel. Saturday’s car wash fundraiser for Mam Cleo’s boys’ home is 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
