A stunning mural honoring military veterans was formally unveiled at Chapala’s American Legion Post 7 at a dedication ceremony held on Sunday, April 19.
The large-scale painting gracing the upper level at Legion headquarters was created by artist Arturo Xolo, a native of Veracruz who now resides at lakeside.

The work depicts the American eagle, shadow images of veterans and an emblem with the slogan “Land of the Free because of the Brave” superimposed over a giant U.S. flag.
Post 7 is located at Calle Morelos 114 on the corner of Guerrero, where veterans and civilians of all nationalities are welcome to socialize at ongoing community events and enjoy daily meals and bar services at bargain prices.
