Chapala morgue undertakes first case

Chapala’s austere Sala de Necropsias (autopsy theater) was put into service for the first time last weekend for the practice of an autopsy on a local man who apparently died of natural causes.


Benefit for Tarahumara kids planned at La Bodega

An event to collect school supplies for more than 100 economically challenged students at the Tarahumara Indigenous School in the Copper Canyon area of northern Mexico is slated for Sunday, September 6, 1-5 p.m. at La Bodega Restaurant in Ajijic.

‘Happy Kids’ say thank you

The Club de Niños Felices de Ajijic (Happy Kids Club) thanks everyone who helped make possible their recent trip to the Guadalajara Zoo.  For many of the 38 children who took part, it was their first time outside the Lake Chapala area, and it was the first time visiting the Zoo for all of them.
