Tequila Tour
For several years, the Jaltepec Hospitality University has partnered with Tequila Reserva de los González to offer an exclusive tour that blends history, tradition and generosity. This well-loved initiative has not only provided our community with an enriching experience, but has also served as an essential fundraising effort to support the students of Jaltepec.
The next tour is Thursday, April 10. Enjoy an unforgettable visit to this private, family-owned distillery in the Jalisco Highlands (Atotonilco El Alto). Attendees will learn about the legend of Mayáhuel, the goddess of agave, and witness firsthand the craftsmanship behind one of Mexico’s finest tequilas.
Each tour includes luxury transportation, tequila tastings, a gourmet lunch, and breathtaking views of the agave fields.
While these tours are typically held on the last Thursday of each month, private tours can be arranged for groups of ten or more.

Moving to Lakeside?
Where do you start? Where can you get answers to your questions? What should be your questions?
Tuesday, April 15, at Casa Del Sol, Javier Mina 7 in Ajijic. “Ask an Expat Happy Hour” is held the first and third Tuesdays each month, starting at 4:30 p.m. at the inn’s lobby.
Participation is free. No reservations required. Casa Del Sol’s full-service cash bar will be open.
The host will be Steve Taylor, who retired with his wife to Lakeside in 2022. He will focus on visitors’ questions that they bring to the gathering.
Each happy hour will begin with Steve’s “10 Expat Commandments” to those visiting, moving to and living in Mexico. This is especially helpful to those seeing Lakeside for the first time.
“This is a conversation and learning opportunity, not a lecture. All are welcome—especially anyone who can share insights about how to best to learn more about Lakeside living,” Steve said. “I encourage participants to take notes and learn at one time, in one place, what a newcomer can do to make their stay here enjoyable.”
For more information, text Steve Taylor anytime at his cell phone: +1 (512) 921-6150.
