Common Ground Fellowship is a loving, vibrant, inclusive place to worship! We have a high view of scripture and a high view of God’s love and grace. We are dedicated to making disciples and empowering believers for ministry, and to loving our neighbors as ourselves by serving the community. We meet in West Ajijic at Latitude Margaritaville at 11 a.m.

April 13, Palm Sunday: The day after His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, Jesus went to the temple, flipped over the moneychangers’ tables, and drove all the sacrificial animals from the temple. Why? Come join us to find out!

April 20, Easter Sunday: Christ was crucified on Friday, and his disciples spent all day Saturday in fear and hiding, like many of us do throughout our lives. But resurrection was coming! Come join us to see how to incorporate resurrection power into your life. Free Breakfast at 10:00 before the service.

After the service, stau for coffee, cookies, and fellowship, as we enjoy the love and grace of God together. We meet next to the Latitude Margaritaville office in west Ajijic. All are welcome.

Lakeside PresbyterianChurch

This Sunday’s sermon: “What God Wants you to Know About Him,” from Exodus 34:6-7.

The first question in any job interview is: “Tell me about yourself.” If you just joined a new book group, chances are the leader will say, “Let’s go around the room and briefly introduce ourselves.” In these situations, we have to choose what we think is most pertinent to say. In Exodus, God gives a brief introduction of himself and his most important attributes. If we want to know God, this is a great place to start.

English language service has temporarily relocated to, Constitución 26, in Ajijic, 2nd floor, between Ramón Corona and Nicolas Bravo. Enter through the back garage area and walk upstairs to the service. There is also a small elevator at the front of the building for those with limited mobility. Join us for coffee and refreshments after the service.

Eckankar

Everything revolves around love. It always does. No matter how much we rush about in this world and how harried, ambitious, or sorrowful we become, the world stays together for some reason. The reason is God’s love. It makes the whole work, even though sometimes it looks like nothing is working at all.

The two supreme laws are: God is love, and Soul exists because God loves it.

But how do you make this work out in everyday life? Whenever you’re in doubt about any action, ask yourself: Is it true? Is it necessary? Is it Kind? You can also ask, What would love do?

Meet with other like-minded Souls for open non-denominational spiritual discussions Tuesdays, 2 to 3:15 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society.

Abundant Life Church

We are what we think. This may sound over-simplified but the truth is that our thoughts limit or propel us. Eventually we are all products of what we choose to think about. This is why education is a key element in childhood development. To expand the mind of a child is to expand their possibilities for the future. The same is true in our relationship with God. Come this Sunday, April 6, to be challenged to think the right thoughts about God, yourself and others. You will be amazed at how your future can be changed.

Abundant Life is affiliated with the Assemblies of God of Mexico. Weekly Sunday worship services in English start at 10:30 a.m. and Bible studies on Wednesday at 6:45 p.m. The English services schedule is at abuntandtlifechapala.com. Carretera 140, San Antonio Tlayacapan, a block from SuperLake.

Heritage Baptist Church

At Christ’s ascension He left His spirit to indwell all believers· hearts. The Word that created everything now indwells true believers.

Did you know that when Christ ascended, He sprinkled the heavens with His blood? What a phenomenon that must have been! At His death, the Old Testament covenant was shaken and replaced by the new covenant of grace, and it will be forever unshakeable, fueled by mercy and truth that will never end.
Christians, then, are the temple of the Holy Spirit where Christ Himself abides. The connection is eternal. And along with His glorious mercy, we receive the Kingdom that can likewise never be shaken. Serve God acceptably, believers, with reverence and awe. We are not an island, we are part of an eternal kingdom. In all we do, let us hear Him and worship Him.

This Sunday, April 13, is Friendship Sunday at Heritage... come and see what it’s all about! We meet at 10:30 a.m. at the Chapala American Legion. And consider joining us at Parque Milagroso on the Lake between Chapala and Riberas del Pilar for a very special Easter sunrise service, Sunday, April 20.
