Arts and Crafts Fair

American Legion Post Seven’s 12th Annual Holiday Arts and Crafts Fair opens Saturday, December 13, 9 a.m. with back-to-back features, including a popular assortment of bake and take foods – prepared, ready-to-eat favorite entrees. Shoppers will find a selection of homemade holiday goodies and handmade gift and decorating items from a number of vendors at the one-day event at Post Seven headquarters on Calle Morelos in Chapala.

Charros Baseball

The Lake Chapala Society (LCS) and Restaurant Santo Coyote are sponsoring another Sunday bus trip to a Charros de Jalisco baseball game in Guadalajara. The bus will leave from the sculpture in La Floresta at 10 a.m. on Sunday, December 7. Tickets at 250 pesos for members, and 275 pesos for non-members must be purchased in advance at the LCS office. Tickets include transportation and VIP seating.

HIV/AIDS Day

World AIDS Day, which was established in 1988 by the World Health Organization and the United Nations to remember those living with HIV and those who died from AIDS, will be commemorated on Sunday, November 30, when two red ribbons will be installed at the amphitheater on Ajijic’s malecon. Representatives from Ajijic Cares and Vihas de Vidas will be on hand throughout the day to provide information about the disease and its prevention.

Christmas Bazaar

More than 40 vendors will be displaying their handmade art, crafts and sewing items, along with those who will sell plants and homemade foods, at the 3rd Annual Lakeside Christmas bazaar on Saturday, November 22 and Sunday, November 23, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

History Club

The Lake Chapala Society History Club will meet Tuesday, November 18, 1:30 p.m. at the Lake Chapala Society. The meeting focus is “Hiroshima, a Study of the First Nuclear Bombing.”

Homeless Dogs

Lakeside Spay and Neuter’s 12th Annual Country Critter Bash is on Monday, November 10, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the La Floresta home of Gudrun and Dryden Jones.
