As is expected this time of year in Ajijic, it was beautiful and sunny on Sunday, the final day of this year’s Chili Cookoff. The annual fund-raising event was in full swing and Tobolandia park was filled with hungry visitors, eager to try the chili served up by this years contestants, watch some first-rate entertainment and perhaps take home a couple of products from some of the many merchandise stalls.
On Friday, March 1, 10 a.m., on the back patio of La Nueva Posada Hotel in Ajijic, Kristine Moily and Tim Tillman will perform a ten-minute play written by Mark Boyer called “Four Suits in the Closet,” one of a trilogy of plays with a central female character.
Chapala’s no-holds-barred Carnaval celebration get underway this weekend, running in full-tilt party mode through Fat Tuesday, March 5.
