Christ Church
Christ Church Lakeside, a parish of the Diocese of the West in the Anglican Church of Mexico, will observe the sixth Sunday After Pentecost, July 12, celebrating the Holy Eucharist at 11 a.m. via Zoom. Rev. Linda Ramos will celebrate and give a message with the theme “Good Things are Happening” based on Matthew 13:1-9,18-23.
Mariana Macias, Chapala’s victorious candidate in the recent 2019 Miss Jalisco pageant, has joined the circle of ten role models selected to inspire young ladies enrolled in ChangeMakers, the new educational program geared to foster the empowerment of local women.
Lakeside Freethinkers
The Lakeside Freethinkers have been meeting virtually for the past few months. Their next meeting will feature a book report and discussion hosted by Donna Steadman. The book is “Green is the New Red: An Insider’s Account of a Social Movement Under Siege,” by Will Porter.
