As usual, the Guadalajara International Book Fair (FIL) is set to be a major event in the literary world, attracting more than 800 authors, over 18,000 industry professionals, and around 900,000 visitors.
Scheduled from Saturday, November 29 to Sunday, December 9 at Expo Guadalajara, the 39th edition of the fair will feature more than 3,000 activities, including book launches, cultural exhibitions and conferences.

Barcelona will be the honored Guest of Honor, showcasing its rich literary, cultural and gastronomic heritage under the theme “The Flowers Will Come.”
Barcelona will bring 69 authors, from established names like Eduardo Mendoza and Javier Cercas to emerging talents such as Cristina Fernández Cubas and Mireia Calafell.
The cultural program will encompass literature, theater, film and music, including performances by major Catalan artists and exhibitions on editorial design at the Museo de las Artes (MUSA). A special highlight will be the “Vendrán las mujeres” exhibit at the Museo Cabañas, focusing on women’s struggles in Barcelona.
