The latest local place to get tested for Covid-19 opened its doors last week when a mini-laboratory popped up in the northwest corner of the Soriana supermarket parking lot in Chapala.
Conveniently located, with ample space for cars and a flat walking surface for customers, the new JLN Labs unit offers three types of exams at reasonable prices, with a rapid turnover of test results.
The quick antibody blood test and antigen nose swab exams each cost 489 pesos, with results provided within 15 to 90 minutes. The RT-PCR nose and throat swab diagnostic goes for 2,990 pesos, with a 24-to-72 hour return time.
Office hours are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. No appointment is required.
Travelers should check with their airlines that the JLN test results are accepted for travel.
