The Chapala government has acquired five new patrol vehicles and assorted professional gear to enhance the work of the municipal police force.

With local residents giving an overwhelming thumbs up to the Chapala government’s proposal to renovate the borders of the highway stretching through the center of Ajijic, work crews are scheduled to get the project rolling early next week.

A bundle of money was discovered missing from the Banorte automatic teller located next door to the entrance of Chapala City Hall when personnel from the Armstrong armored car company arrived Thursday, August 24 to restock the machine.

September is known as the mes patrio (patriotic month) in Mexico, bringing lots of activities linked to various historical events and pride in the homeland.

The scale of impunity

This piece of data may not come as much of a surprise to some long-term residents of Mexico. 

The string of roadside food stands doing business on the service road on the west end of San Antonio Tlayacapan are being squeezed out by the construction of a new business and housing development and strict regulations imposed by the municipal government.
