Unitarian Universalist Fellowship
Sunday, June 23, Rev. Matt Alspaugh will speak on “Quantum Universe – Part 1.”
We live in an enigmatic world, one that deep down, doesn’t make ‘common sense’ at all. Yet the physical evidence is sound – the world is ‘quantum’ in nature. It’s hard to make sense of, hard to describe (without advanced mathematics). But we can try. Starting with an historic and paradoxical experiment, we’ll explore just a little bit of this quantum universe, and consider a few of its implications. This is a two-part series.
Jane Castleman is the service associate.
Sunday service is at noon, at the Lake Chapala Unitarian Universalist Fellowship’s new location at San Luis 19 in Riberas del Pilar (one block south of the previous address).

Lakeside Presbyterian Church
Pastor Carolyn will talk about: “How Jesus Prayed.”
We say The Lord’s Prayer every Sunday in our church. But that prayer is quite different from the prayer Jesus prays in John chapter 17. The one we have memorized is a model, a demonstration of how disciples like us ought to pray. The prayer in the Gospel of John that we’ll be exploring on this Sunday morning, June 23, is Jesus speaking to his Father about his immediate concerns. It is longer than any other of Jesus’ recorded prayers—and we can learn a great deal from seeing Jesus open his thoughts to God.
The English-language service is at 9:30 a.m., which also streams live at facebook.com/LPCChapala. The Spanish-language service begins at 11 a.m.
