Search group rejects federal report on Teuchitlán ranch

The conclusions by federal investigators that the Izaguirre Ranch in Teuchitlán, Jalisco was not used as a “crematorium” or extermination site by drug traffickers have been rejected by the women searchers who discovered the site in March.

pg3b copiaAttorney General Alejandro Gertz Manero stated this week that the ranch was used as a training camp by the Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG), but no evidence suggested that bodies were burned there.

Women from the Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco collective found more than 400 pairs of shoes, along with clothing and personal items, when they entered the abandoned property in March. After posting photos on social media, the discovery went viral, attracting widespread international attention.
