Massive crowds escort ‘La Generala’ back to Zapopan

Without explaining the methodology behind how they arrived at the figure, Jalisco authorities said a record turnout of 2.4 million people accompanied the statue of the Virgin of Zapopan (referred to as “La Generala,” among other nicknames) in her annual procession from the Guadalajara Cathedral to the Zapopan Basilica on Wednesday, October 12.

Guadalajara beer festival returns
