Tourist swindler hard at work

More than a quarter of a million individuals who make a living from day to day, including street workers and the self-employed, have applied for handouts from the Jalisco government, Governor Enrique Alfaro said Tuesday.

Flights not suspended

At press time, no measures had been taken to suspend flights to Guadalajara and Puerto Vallarta from U.S. cities that have strict coronavirus containment measures in place, such as Los Angeles, New York and Chicago, say the airport’s operators, Grupo Aeroportuario del Pacifico (GAP).
