The Guadalajara International Film Festival (FICG) has unveiled the full program for its 41st edition, which will run from April 17 to 25, with Chile as this year’s guest of honor.

This year’s festival will celebrate the careers of acclaimed U.S. filmmaker Darren Aronofsky and veteran Salvadoran-Mexican actress Luisa Huertas, alongside a strong lineup of screenings, industry events and anniversary celebrations.

Aronofsky will be presented with the International Tribute Award. The festival will host a retrospective of his work, with the filmmaker personally selecting the movies to be screened. “He is one of the most influential filmmakers in contemporary cinema ... distinguished by his visual and emotional intensity,” said FICG president Guillermo González Mata.  “It is a privilege to have him in Guadalajara.”
