A key mission of the annual Festival de Mayo is to transform community spaces across Guadalajara into vibrant cultural hubs. The unique gallery in the Tren Ligero’s Line Two Juárez Station achieves this perfectly, and has been a mainstay venue of the festival for more than two decades.

Malo has spent nearly three decades developing what he calls “Expresión Lúdica” (Playful Expression)—a distinctive style that bridges expressionism and realism. His work is characterized by its technical mastery, complex emotional layers, and an intelligent sarcasm that doesn’t shy away from humor, irony and irreverence.
