Jalisco reported a 44 percent drop in intentional homicides during the first four months of 2026 compared to the same period last year, according to Governor Pablo Lemus Navarro.
However, he acknowledged that April saw increases in several municipalities within the Guadalajara metropolitan area, particularly along the borders of Guadalajara, Tonalá, and Tlaquepaque.
