Jaramar Soto and the Cuarteto Latinoamericano (winners of the 2016 Latin Grammy for Classical Music) perform pieces from “El Hilo Invisible,” an album of Sephardic songs, at the beautiful Teatro de Atequiza (about 40 minutes from Ajijic), just off the highway to La Barca. The free concert is Saturday, June 29, 8:30 p.m.
Scholarship fund concert
The renowned CREM music school at Lakeside presents a concert to raise funds for music scholarships for local youth at the Presbyterian Church, Avenida San Jorge 250 in Riberas del Pilar, Friday, June 21, 7 p.m. Tickets for this worthy event are 200 pesos.

Colectivo Musas, a group of ten women artists, presents a collective exhibition of paintings, “Sinergia,” opening Friday June 7, 4 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia, on the corner of Hidalgo and Francisco I. Madero in Chapala. The exhibition runs through June 30.
