In each season of their six-year history, the Naked Stage has donated the theater’s profits to Cruz Roja Chapala. Thanks to an exceptional response from their always loyal audiences, this year the group has been able to present a mid-year donation of 20,000 pesos to the local Red Cross.
The rich ambiance and the indoor-outdoor setting of the Hotel Real de Chapala’s Maria Felix Bar was the perfect backdrop for conversation and laughter when more than 50 lakeside residents and visitors attended the Lake Chapala Society’s Singles Event on Wednesday, July 15.
The Grupo de Asistencia de Bomberos y Cruz Roja Lakeside (Lakeside Fire and Red Cross Assistance Group) has worked tirelessly to find ways to import donated equipment and supplies for area firemen and emergency medical technicians.
Nearly 200 students from the Magdalena Cueva and Ramon Corona schools who participated in the “Guardians of the Planet” study course for lakeside third, fourth and fifth grades gathered for a fun-filled Saturday, July 3 event on the Chapala Malecon.
