La Rincon de Frida

La Rincon de Frida, a popular eatery in Jocotepec, reopens its doors at a new, larger venue inside the Hotel Posada del Pescador, Monday, July 3. Friends and loyal customers joined owner German Garcia at a pre-opening cocktail party June 18, where they lounged on the large veranda. The hotel is next to the Pemex station on the east end of Jocotepec. Frida’s will be open Monday to Saturday, 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
Lakeside Garden Guild

A delightful garden party was enjoyed by Lakeside Garden Guild members at their June meeting on the estate of Janet Capetillo of Guadalajara. Capetillo shared how magnolia leaves can enhance floral arrangements, giving members fresh ideas for their entries in the Guild’s annual November Floral Design Show. President Georgia Barneburg chats with Celina Haramis after taking a guided tour of the extensive lush gardens.
