UK writers, illustrators cover broad terrain in FIL Literary Program

Invited country United Kingdom has scheduled a diverse and entertaining literary program for the 2015 International Book Fair (FIL). 

All the round-table discussions, presentations and interviews will feature British participants speaking in their native tongue and are held in the UK pavilion at Expo Guadalajara, unless stated otherwise below.

There is no charge for any of the events. Everyone is welcome.  Be advised that seating at events scheduled in FIL’s Salon 1 tend to fill up quickly. 

Irvine Welsh (“Trainspotting”), Sally Gardner (“The Red Necklace”) and Philippa Gregory (“The Other Boleyn Girl”) are part of a distinguished list of British authors scheduled to take part in round-table discussions and workshops during the International Book Fair (FIL).  Welsh, a Scottish novelist, playwright and short story writer known for his gritty. working-class narratives, talks on December 1 and 3; children’s author and illustrator Gardner on November 30 and December 2; and historical novelist Gregory on November 28 and 30.
