From Monday, Guadalajara residents will get their first taste of the new bicycle sharing system, Mi Bici, as 860 of the red bicycles start appearing at 86 stations throughout a 24-block zone of the city center.
The annual cost, using a credit card, is 360 pesos a year, according to mibici.net, where you can register and get your passcode.
The site says that the first 1/2 hour of every trip is free, but don’t keep a bike longer than eight hours or it will be considered stolen. A downside: planned signposting for users of the system won’t be finished until January.
