Tlaquepaque’s beer-brewing tradition continues to grow with the 8th edition of the Festival de la Cerveza Artesanal, organized by Bierkultur. This year, the festival aims to go beyond borders, positioning itself as a key local, national and international event in the world of craft beer.
The festival takes place Saturday and Sunday, July 19 and 20, from noon to midnight, at the Plaza de las Ciudades Hermanas in downtown Tlaquepaque.
General admission is free with the donation of three or more non-perishable food items.
Alternatively, a VIP pass is available for 400 pesos, which includes a commemorative glass jar, one craft beer and a festival T-shirt.
What to expect
The festival offers something for all ages with a variety of attractions and experiences. These include a craft beer pavilion featuring top local and regional breweries, a gastronomy zone, tastings and talks about beer-making and culture, a crafts’ market showcasing local artisanal products, a kids’ area and a main stage with over 25 live performances.
All proceeds from the festival will be donated to Tlaquepaque DIF.
Last year’s Festival de la Cerveza Artesanal de Tlaquepaque drew over 15,000 attendees, and this year promises to surpass expectations, organisers say.
