The Chapala government launched the Limpiemos Nuestro Municipio (Let’s Clean Our Municipality) campaign with a program of door-to-door junk collection roaming through Ajijic neighborhoods.
The initiative started May 27 on Calle Alvaro Obregón at the town’s west side, where a team of city hall employees assisted householders in removing more than 12 tons of construction rubble, broken appliances, old furnishings and other useless appurtenances from their domiciles.
