The Chapala government this week distributed 199 energy-saving solar water heating systems to local low-income families, provided at no cost through the state government’s Revive Tu Hogar social assistance program.
The majority of the beneficiaries are senior citizens who qualified on the basis of socio-economic criteria plus proof of ownership titles for their homes. Others among the 344 applicants will receive up to 5,000 pesos’ worth of building materials for other types of home improvements.
