HURRICANE PATRICIA DISASTER PREVENTION MEASURES IN CHAPALA

Various emergency measures are being made in the Chapala municipality in preparation for Hurricane Patricia, which is expected to hit the coast of Jalisco Friday afternoon and the Guadaajalara metropolitan area Friday evening.  While the hurricane is expected to weaken as it moves inland, it may still be a category 1-3 hurricane when it reaches the metro area, according to the National Weather Center.  Be prepared for intense rains and winds.
