Instituto Terranova has scheduled its double-header Corre por Ayudar (Run to Help) benefit running contest and the parallel Terra Color recreational race for Sunday, October 4.
Athletes hoofing it in the 10 Km. competition, youth, veteran and open categories, head out from Chapala city hall at 8 a.m. Veteran runners-males age 50 and up and ladies over 46-will race three kilometers from the starting point at Centro Laguna, 8:30 a.m. The laid-back Terra Color paint fest run is open to kids, adults and leashed pets, likewise leaving Centro Laguna at the same time. The finish line for all three events is the Terranova campus, Calle Rio Lerma at Rio Papaloapan, just east of Villa Nova.
The registration fee is 200 pesos plus a kilo of rice, beans or canned foods. Cash proceeds and food stuffs will be donated to Jocotepec’s La Ola Casa Hogar children’s shelter.
