Highway improvement project unveiled in Ajijic

Dozens of cyclists gathered Sunday, March 11 to take a spin along the new stretch of the ciclovía (bike path) bordering the Ajijic highway, created as a part of the urban improvement project carried out by the Chapala government over the past six months.

Blistering virtuosity was the chief item on an Ajijic tribute concert’s bill of fare Friday, March 2, and by the end of the 50-minute program the audience packing the tiered seating inside the modern, expensive looking interior of the town’s Auditorio were as satiated and blissed out as a pack of wolves after a kill.

Cops nab local thieves in flagranti

Flanked by Mayor Javier Degollado and press secretary Carlos García, Chapala police chief Adán Domínguez announces the recent capture of a local man and two females accomplices who admitted to committing dozens of crimes in the area over the past several months, ranging from auto theft to break-ins at business outfits and private residences.
