The Jalisco Health Department (SSJ) says they have more than two million influenza vaccine doses that can be given to residents of the state free of charge at different health institutions.
Vulnerable groups of the population, such as the elderly and chronically ill, are especially advised to obtain a flu shot.
The jabs are available at all Secretaria de Salud Jalisco clinics, and IMSS and ISSSTE facilities. No prior sign-up is needed, as is the case with Covid-19 shots. Simply turn up. As of this week, 500,000 shots had been applied, the SSJ said.
The campaign runs through March 31, 2023.
