Pedro Kumamoto, Jalisco’s only independent state legislator, believes an opportunity is being wasted if plans to construct a BRT bus line on the city Periferico (beltway) are put on the back burner by the state government.

Civic organizations are taking steps to assist deportees as concerns grow for the fate of thousands of undocumented Mexican migrants living in the United States.

The opening of Guadalajara’s new aquarium in the Parque Alcalde was postponed on February 14 due to issues related to the transportation of several species, according to its developers. A new date will be set, possibly in March.

Around 250 firefighters and civil protection officers from several municipalities battled bravely for 20 hours to extinguish a gasoline pipeline fire on the western outskirts of Guadalajara this week.
