UNAM graduate study exposes child labor in Mexico

In a recent graduate study, a student at the Intercultural and Cultural Diversity program of UNAM has come to some troubling conclusions in regards to child labor in Mexico, especially where it concerns the country’s maquiladoras, essentially textile sweatshops where employees work long hours at low pay.

US envoy in Mexico to leave post

In a move that some diplomatic sources say was not entirely unexpected, Roberta Jacobson, the highly respected U.S. ambassador to Mexico for the past two years, has announced she will be leaving the post in the first week of May.
