The state’s fourth annual cultural festival is held Saturday, August 11 with various free performances in downtown Guadalajara beginning at 11 a.m.
Av. 16 de Septiembre will be closed from Av. Hidalgo to Calle Madero as 700 couples of dancers from the Ballet Folklorico Monumental take to the streets at 11 a.m.
Next the Monumental Music Band, made up of 1,100 muscians will play in the Plaza Liberacion.
Participants in dance, music and theater from 104 Jalisco municipalities will entertain the crowds in the Plaza Liberacion, Plaza de Armas and Plaza Fundadores until about 10 p.m.
