An exciting new multimedia spectacle debuting in Guadalajara this weekend is billed as an “artistic and sensorial experience” that reinterprets the origins of Mexico from a contemporary perspective.
Featuring 50 artists on stage, “Kopalli: El Espíritu Astral” (The Astral Spirit) combines original live music, dance, circus arts, and multimedia elements to tell a fictional story inspired by the birth of Mexico. The performance explores the clash of two cultures through the figure of Kopalli, an astral spirit who embodies resistance, transformation and memory. Through rituals, powerful dances, and mythical figures like Quetzalcoatl and Kopalli, this work seeks to unite the past and present with a message of hope, identity and brotherhood.
