The Edificio Arroniz, headquarters of the Jalisco Culture Department, will host two free performances this month: Wixárica (Huichol) Dance and Mixtec Music on Friday, August 15 at 7 p.m., and D´Rumbaos, presenting Mediterranean and Spanish music with flamenco influences, on Sunday, August 17, noon.
These performances are connected to a symposium on “Migration and Language Preservation in Urban Environments” (August 15-19), which will feature discussions on indigenous languages. The splendid Arroniz Building is located at Zaragoza 224 in downtown Guadalajara.
