Artists of Lake Chapala

Artists of Lake Chapala (ALC), a vibrant organization known for exciting events, social hours, meetups, day trips and art markets, invites you to join. On July 30, ALC members visited Tonalá for a pottery adventure. Upcoming activities include artist studio visits, art markets, tequila tastings, and more. Meetings are held on the first Monday of every month at the Lake Chapala Society. Grand Finale Concert

Chris Wilshere, director of the Festival del Lago, with students. The festival’s grand finale concert will be held Sunday, August 10, 5 p.m. at the Centro para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera. Pablo Haro Legaspiu will give a free piano recital, playing pieces by Franz Liszt and Frederic Chopin, 12:30 p.m., at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo.

COMING SOON

Mariachi Real Ajijic performs three concerts at Lakeside Little Theatre on Saturday, August 23, at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m., and Sunday, August 24, 1 p.m. Enjoy Mexican music and fun from these talented young musicians. Tickets are 400 pesos, available via LLT’s website or at the box office on August 23 and 24, one hour before curtain. The majority of proceeds from these concerts will be donated to the Mariachi School of Ajijic.
