Acclaimed Canadian circus arts troupe Cirque du Soleil is bringing its spectacular show OVA to Guadalajara’s Arena VFG for seven performances from November 5 to 9. Known for its breathtaking acrobatics, vibrant visuals and imaginative storytelling, OVA is one of Cirque du Soleil’s most celebrated productions.
OVA immerses audiences in a surreal, magical world where a mix of playful aquatic themes and stunning physical feats are brought to life. The show’s name, which means “egg” in Latin, symbolizes new beginnings and the potential for growth. The story follows an enigmatic character who embarks on a journey through this dreamlike universe, encountering gravity-defying acrobats, clowns, and aerialists along the way. Featuring a stunning set design, innovative choreography, and a unique blend of aquatic-inspired acts, OVA has been described as a visual masterpiece that pushes the limits of circus art.
The performance schedule is: Wednesday, November 5, 9 p.m.; Thursday, November 6, 9 p.m.; Friday, November 7, 9 p.m.; Saturday, November 8, 5 p.m. and 9 p.m.; and Sunday, November 9, 1 p.m. and 5 p.m.
Tickets are priced between 1,700 and 5,000 pesos, and can be purchased through Ticketmaster.com.mx.
VFG Arena is located at kilometer 22.5 on the Guadalajara-Chapala highway, in the municipality of Tlajomulco de Zúñiga.
