Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) takes a first step at re-opening with the launch of the Ajijic Readers Theatre (ART).
The first show is “Women in Jeopardy,” a fun and flirtatious comedy by Wendy MacLeod, with show dates September 11, 12, 13, 18, 19 and 20 and show times at 4 p.m.
“Screw the mid-life crisis; let’s solve some crimes!” Trading their wine glasses for spy glasses, imaginations run wild as a cohort of best friends try to discover the truth and solve crimes in a hilarious off-road adventure. Perfect for when the mid-life crisis just isn’t your speed. The Boston Globe review said, “The laughs in Wendy MacLeod’s play come fast and furious ... a new work that’s modern, lively, and loads of fun.”
LLT’s first ART show is directed by Collette Clavadetscher and is produced by special arrangement with Dramatist Play Services, Inc., New York.
While Covid-19 restrictions are in place, LLT will provide a safe environment by rehearsing and staging the production on the open-air Angel Terrace, with seating for approximately 40 individuals while maintaining a minimum of six feet social distancing.
Operating as part of LLT’s Playhouse, and alongside the main stage events, ART will expand the theater’s offerings and enable more opportunities for actors, directors and support staff.
