Bare Stage issues general audition call

Bare Stage Theatre is having a rare “call out” general audition for two upcoming shows, and for shows planned during the rest of the season.

There are parts for three men (45-70 years of age) and two women (70-90 years and 45-70 years) to be cast for the April and November plays: “Best Brothers” by Daniel MacIvor and “My Old Lady” by Israel Horovitz.

Both plays will be directed by Darlene Sherwood. Other prospective directors will be attending to “scout” for their upcoming shows, so everyone, any age, is welcome.

“Best Brothers” is relentlessly funny and a relatable confrontation between two brothers over the implications of their mother’s death and subsequent funeral. Who got her love, and who gets her dog are foremost in their conversations.
