CREM hosts talented Julliard violinist for double bill

Experience the changing seasons through musical notes when a talented young violinist from the Julliard School takes the stage with the Chamber Orchestra of the Centro Regional de Estudios Musicales (CREM)Friday, July 26, 7 p.m., at the  Culture and Arts Center (CCAR) auditorium in La Floresta.

pg7bThe featured artist is Maya Kilburn, a 21-year-old prodigy currently enrolled in her junior year at Julliard to earn her Bachelor’s Degree in Violin Performance.

A native of Muncie, Indiana, she began playing violin at age four. Since then, Kilburn has ardently pursued mastering the instrument with guidance from gifted instructors at diverse musical academies. She has made more than 40 public appearances in the United States and abroad since 2015 and racked up an impressive record of awards in national and regional musical competitions.
