The Culinary Arts Society of Ajijic (CASA) hosted its much-anticipated operatic culinary extravaganza on December 2, delighting a private party of eight with an unforgettable evening of fine dining and artistic splendor.
The event was auctioned earlier this year as a fundraiser exclusively for the local charity Niños Incapacitados. The CASA culinary team delivered on its promise of luxury and culture in equal measure.
Held in an elegantly decorated private estate, the evening was elevated by live entertainment, including stirring performances of iconic opera arias from classics like Madame Butterfly. The vocalists’ commanding voices transported the audience to the heart of a grand opera house, while a professionally choreographed Chinese dance number added a vibrant, theatrical touch to the night.
The CASA culinary team prepared a sumptuous multi-course menu pairing exquisite dishes with carefully selected wines, all generously donated from Seleccion de la Vid and Wijn Import, each paired with the country of origin of the opera.
Guests indulged in a fusion of traditional and contemporary flavors, showcasing the chefs’ creativity and mastery. Every course was presented with artistic flair, underscoring CASA’s reputation for culinary excellence.
