The Northern Lights Music Festival is just around the corner, with tickets going on sale Monday, January 13.
Now in its 21st season, this year’s festival promises to be an extraordinary celebration of music. Spanning 14 days from February 9 to 22, the festival will feature 19 concerts, with 5 held at the Auditorio de la Ribera and 14 in stunning, private homes across Ajijic. These intimate venues, each beautiful in its own way, create a truly immersive experience for festivalgoers.
While individual tickets are available for many events, becoming a patron through one of the festival’s subscription series is highly recommended. The festival offers three levels of patronage—Friends of the Festival, Visionaries, and the Conductor’s Circle—each providing an enhanced connection to the event. Patrons enjoy guaranteed access to concerts, as well as special experiences unavailable to regular ticket holders.
The Conductor’s Circle is the most exclusive option, offering daily concerts, invitations to private events such as the Conductor’s Circle gathering, and access to the prestigious Premier Event. Additionally, Conductor’s Circle patrons are the only ones able to attend the two exclusive Tea Time concerts and the Gala After Party. With 30 incredible musicians from around the world performing, this level provides a unique and immersive way to experience the festival.
One of the standout moments this year is the appearance of Nancy Zhou, a violinist with over 130,000 followers on Instagram. Zhou will open the festival with a Tea Time concert on February 9. She will also perform César Franck’s Violin and Piano Sonata at a private Festival House—a performance exclusively available to patrons.
