A collection of works by artist Noris Binet will be showcased in an exhibition opening Saturday, October 16, at the Centro Cultural González Gallo, Chapala’s former railway station.
In her first solo show in Mexico, Binet will present paintings, poetry, drawings, sculptures and installations under the title “Recovering the Sacred Feminine,” conceived as a symbolic journey into the inner world.
Binet is a multidisciplinary artist, sociologist, psychotherapist and spiritual teacher born in the Dominican Republic who now resides in Ajijic. Supported by funding from Proyecta Producción at the Jalisco Ministry of Culture, the exhibition represents the culmination of a 40-year career and invites viewers to explore the psychological and spiritual processes inherent in the creative impulse within every human being.
