New dates scheduled for BRAVO!’s ‘A Walk in the Woods’

“A Walk In The Woods,” Lee Blessing’s play about the human side of high-stakes arms negotiations, opens at The BRAVO! Theatre on Thursday, March 26.

A finalist for the Pulitzer Prize and nominated for a Tony Award, the play takes the audience on a walk in the woods with the top negotiators for the U.S. and USSR as they discover that the possible answer to world peace could be recognition of each other as human beings. The play is based on actual events.

Maloy Murdock, who plays Soviet negotiator Andrey Botvinnik, says, “I think the audience will be pleasantly surprised by the humor, the clever plot twists and the dynamic arc of the play, which takes us from light banter to world-changing conversations.”

Bradley Felix, who plays the U.S. negotiator John Honeyman, adds, “I believe the audience will enjoy the very personal, funny, deep and very caring nature of the play.” He adds, “I also think the relationship the two men develop, the humor, and the idea that peace is something that needs to be a shared goal will resonate.”

Due to an unfortunate case of laryngitis, the opening has been moved to Thursday, March 26, and will continue from Friday to Sunday, March 27 to 29.
