Poets performing at the Joco Loco May Cultural Festival Saturday, May 14, and Sunday, May 15, include Mario Z. Puglisi, Judy Dykstra-Brown, Oskar Santoskly and Margaret Van Every.

LLT audition

Lakeside Little Theatre holds auditions for “Art Match” by Stephen Belber Thursday, May 19, and Friday, May 20, at LLT on the terrace. Directed by Lynn Gutstadt, “Art Match” show dates are June 17, 18 and 19.

The play is a portrait of Tobi Powell, a charming, garrulous and profoundly sad and aging dancer, choreographer and teacher, who enjoys knitting.

Leonard Cohen review

James Twyman performs Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah Musical” at four concerts, May 27 and 28 and June 3 and 4, 7 p.m., at Namaste Village at Angel Flores 5 in Ajijic. Before the show, the community will unveil a recently completed two-story Aztec mural.
