Bare Stage

Bare Stage Theatre presents “Looking” by Norm Foster Friday, March 29, Saturday, March 30, and Sunday, March 31. All shows are at 4 p.m.

pg17aThis hilarious, touching, and so very true to life play is directed by Roseann Wilshere and Roxanne Rosenblatt. The cast comprises Deborah Bowers, Bob Henderson, Peter James, and Kathleen Pharis.

Foster is considered Canada’s most produced playwright. His characters come to life as ordinary people identifiable to his audience. “Looking” is just that: four people trying to find love, romance and sex, and having a hard time finding it. Val is an O.R. nurse, Andy is in the storage business, Nina is a police officer, and Matt is the host of a morning radio show. They’re middle-aged, single, and looking. Val agrees to meet Andy after answering his personal ad in the newspaper, and Nina and Matt are coaxed into joining their friends for support.

Bare Stage is now at St. Andrew’s Anglican Church, San Lucas 19, in Riberas del Pilar. Door and bar open 3 p.m., Seats are held until 3:50 p.m. Tickets, 200 pesos, can be reserved at This email address is being protected from spambots.
