Evarardo Rojas gives a free concert on Sunday, August 25, 12:30 p.m. at the Centro Cultural González Gallo.

Mexican Diversity

An exhibition of drawings and paintings by students of the Casa de Jubilados SNTE opens on Friday, August 30, 7 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Antigua Presidencia in Chapala.

The retirees will also perform live music.

Jazz

Nathalie Braux and Cuero Gonzalez perform Telepathic Jazz at a Firebird House Concert on Friday, August 30, and Saturday, August 31, 4 p.m. The event will be held at Pájaro de Fuego 123, Chapala Haciendas.

Zombies Can Dance!

Rehearsals for Thrill The World, Ajijic’s 14th-anniversary zombie fest, begin on Saturday, August 31, from 1 to 3 p.m. on the third floor of Plaza Bugambilias in Ajijic.

Learn the dance and help raise funds for this year’s beneficiary, the Rotary Club of Ajijic.

The main event is scheduled for Saturday, October 26, 3 p.m.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes, bring water, a pen and paper for notes, and a one-time registration fee of 100 pesos.

BRAVO! Theatre

“Loss, Love and What I Wore,” written by Nora Ephron and Delia Ephron and based on the book by Ilene Beckerman, will be the next offering at The BRAVO! Theatre from September 20 to 22.

This semi-staged reading, directed by Suki O’Brien, explores the emotional power of clothing in our lives with wit, humor and surprising insight.

Rimbaud A/Z

The works of more than 70 artists are on display at the Centro Cultural González Gallo in an exhibit organized by Museums, Expositions and Galleries of Jalisco (MEG).

The exhibit runs through September 15 and is open Tuesday to Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sundays until 2 p.m.
