LLT individual tickets
Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT) has opened sales for individual show tickets, beyond season subscriptions.
“Frankly, I think it’s going to be difficult to choose from among the plays,” said LLT President Collette Clavadetscher. “For our 60th season, we have something for everyone—drama, comedy, and an award-winning musical.”
The season opens on September 27 with “The World Goes ‘Round,” an exciting musical revue of John Kander and Fred Ebb’s epic songs, made famous by Liza Minnelli.
In November, LLT presents “Marjorie Prime,” a futuristic meditation on how humanity is shaped by the mysteries of memory. December brings “Dinner,” a “deliciously black satirical comedy” about a dinner party full of surprising revelations, depicting a dinner party with an unexpected guest.
February’s highlight is Man of La Mancha, the 1965 Tony Award-winning musical featuring the iconic song “The Impossible Dream.”
In March, LLT stages “It’s Only a Play,” a biting satire about the craziness of producing a play.
The season closes in May with “Grand Horizons,” a clever play about two adult sons dealing with their parents’ divorce, which the New York Times called “a powerful argument for the full humanity of women.”
“Rights to plays are often difficult to acquire,” said LLT Vice President Dave McIntosh, “and royalty prices are skyrocketing—up by more than 80,000 pesos this year, which is why we had to raise ticket prices by 50 pesos.”
Tickets are 400 pesos for most plays and 500 pesos for “Man of La Mancha,” now available at lakesidelittletheatre.com. Season tickets cost 2,200 pesos.
