• Efren Gonzalez opens his exhibit Conversations with the Dead on Friday, October 25, 6 p.m. at the Centro para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera (CCAR).
• The CCAR auditorium will host a tribute to Day of the Dead traditions with song, dance and scenography on Saturday, October 26, 6 p.m. Tickets are 200 pesos for central seats and 150 pesos for lateral seats.
Pro-Mural Dinner Dance
Anyone interested in beautifying San Antonio Tlayacapan is invited to a dinner and dance on Saturday, October 26, 7 p.m. at Sunrise Restaurant. Tickets, priced at 300 pesos, are available at the San Antonio Delegation office, the Monica Cárdenas Gallery and the Cuauhtémoc Elementary School.

LLT Main Stage Play
Conversations with deceased loved ones—thanks (or not) to Artificial Intelligence (AI)—explore the intersection of healing and truth in “Marjorie Prime” at Lakeside Little Theatre (LLT), running from November 1 to 10. LLT is located on Allen W. Lloyd Drive in San Antonio Tlayacapan.

Bare Stage Theatre
“The Octette Bridge Club,” by P.J. Barry, follows the story of eight Irish Catholic sisters who gather for a friendly game on a Friday night in 1934. The play runs from Friday to Sunday, October 25 to 27, at Bare Stage Theatre. Directed by Rosann Balbontin, the cast includes Kathleen Pharis, Roxanne Rosenblatt, Donna Burroughs, Roseann Wilshere, Pam Pettus, Sharon Jarvis, Debra Bowers and Darlene Sherwood.

• La Marea Fandanguera will play traditional Mexican music, including son jarocho and cumbia veracruzana, Sunday, October 27, 12:30 p.m. at the Centro Cultural Gonzalez Gallo in Chapala. The group of five musicians include Rene Silva on the jarana, Sergio Alejandro Rivas on the jarana and berimbau, Omar Lopez on the requinto and zapateado, Eduardo Gonzalez on the jarana and zapateando and Joel Silva on the marimbol.
