Fine Artists Guild
The Lake Chapala Fine Artists Guild’s group exhibition, currently on at the Sol y Luna Hotel Spa (Rio Bravo 10 in West Ajijic), will continue until Wednesday, February 4.
Two live painting presentations will be held during the exhibition.
Oscar Orlando Ibarra, an up-and-coming young Mexican artist, will give an oil painting demonstration on Saturday, January 24, from 4 to 7 p.m. Here is one of his works:

Ricardo Sánchez Corona, one of the most important watercolorists at Lakeside, and recently selected to represent Mexico in the 2026 Fabriano in Watercolour exhibition in Italy, will give a demo on Saturday, January 31, from 3 to 7 p.m.
Exhibits
In celebration of her 85th birthday, a retrospective exhibition of the artist Pat Apt's 50 years of work opens on Saturday, January 24, at 3 p.m. at the Ajijic Museo de Arte, located at Privada Flores Magon 3 in West Ajijic.
• “El Vapor Libertad,” a pictorial exhibition by Luci Williams, is up at the Centro para la Cultura y las Artes de la Ribera. The art includes paintings and sculptures, interpreting the history of the emblematic steamboat that plied Lake Chapala at the end of the 19th century.
• RI (Real Intelligence), an exhibition of paintings by Neal S. Willow, is up at La Estacion, Hidalgo 75 in Riberas del Pilar. The exhibition closes on February 11.
• Sculptor Francisco Quiroz Carranza, the founder and general director of Art21Studio, presents an exhibition of his private collection during January and February at Casa Del Sol, Javier Mina 7.

Art Walk
Tickets are now on sale for the third annual Art Walkers Carnival, which runs Friday to Sunday, February 6 to 8, in Ajijic, San Antonio and San Juan Cosala. Eighty-two artists will be displaying their works at 42 locations.
